Our Message to You
At Blessed Bakes, our mission is to share the love of Jesus through baking. We are passionate about blessing you with delicious and beautiful cakes. But we want to bless you with something much greater than cake!
The message we believe with all our heart and want to share with you is that God wants to bless you by forgiveness of sins and eternal life through Jesus Christ. The Bible says:
7 “Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” (Romans 4:7-8 ESV)
This world is broken and so are we
You probably know the feeling in your heart that something is not right. Whether you feel like life if going well or not, you have the feeling something is broken. You might try to ignore it. You might try to explain it away. You might try to pretend it's just a normal part of life. You might try to distract yourself from it by filling your life with work, or entertainment or whatever. You might try to fix it with doing "religious" things. But if you are honest with yourself, you know there is something wrong that you can't fix. You see it in yourself and the world around.
God made us to live in relationship with Him, like children with a father. But like runaway children, we've all chosen to go our own way instead of God's and have been disobedient and unfaithful to Him. We have broken our relationship with Him and have become broken ourselves. This brokenness is what the Bible calls sin. It is why we get angry when we shouldn't, tell lies, struggle with self-control, desire what we shouldn't, and the list goes on.
We're in trouble
We tend to downplay our sin, but God takes it very seriously. God is a loving Father, but He is also a righteous judge, and although He loves the people he made, he doesn't let any wrong go unpunished. The life God gave us is an eternally precious gift, and so the punishment for failing to live our lives as we should is eternally serious. And God says there is a day when all people will be judged. That should take your breath away.
What can we do? Ignoring God won't make Him any less real. Doing good things won't help. Religious practices won't help.
Jesus pays for what we broke
If that was the end of the story there would be no hope. Although there was nothing we can do to save ourselves or fix what we have broken, God has made a way for our sin to be covered.
Jesus Christ, the only One Who never had any sin of His own, came according to God's plan to take our place and pay the price for sin we could not afford to pay. 2000 years ago, Jesus died on a cross and suffered the judgement of God that we deserved to suffer. On the cross Jesus paid the debt we could not pay for failing to live as we should.
Jesus makes broken things new
But Jesus did not stay dead, He rose again! So we can be sure the payment is accepted. This is the good news of the Bible! Through Jesus, the price of sin is paid and our broken relationship with God is restored. And when we trust in Him, he will give us new life so we do not have to be defined by the broken lives we lived before, but we can begin to live the blessed lives God made us to live.
Will you accept the blessing of having your sin forgiven?
To receive the blessing of forgiveness, and eternal life through Jesus, you need to stop running away from God and come to Jesus. You have to turn away from sin, trust in Jesus and give Your life to Him. What else could we give to the One Who gave His life for us? Your life not belong to you anymore, but it will be in safe-keeping with Him. The Holy Spirit make new what is broken in you so you will be able to live in relationship with God as you were made to do.
If this message has spoken to you, we would love to hear from you!
